Chelsea are still in the dark as to whether Thibaut Courtois will commit his long-term future to the club, but they’re drawing up contingency plans for if he decides to move on.
Courtois’ contract expires at the end of next season and Chelsea have tabled an offer to the Belgian worth in excess of £200,000-a-week which would see him become the highest paid goalkeeper in world football, but the former Genk standout is aware that the likes of Real Madrid and PSG wish to sign him.
Not prepared to be held to ransom, Chelsea are weighing up their options and the Guardian note that the Blues are considering a big-money summer swoop for AC Milan stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The 19-year-old was strongly linked with a move away from the San Siro last summer before signing a new four-year contract in July, but the teenager, who is regarded as the best young goalkeeper in the game, is continually talked about as a transfer target for some of Europe’s top clubs.
It appears as if Chelsea are the latest to register their interest in Donnarumma who is the hot candidate to be the long-term replacement for his namesake Gianluigi Buffon as Italy’s No.1 going forward. Liverpool, Manchester United, PSG and Real Madrid have all been linked with moves for the young goalkeeper this season.
