Manchester United remembered the 21 who died in the Munich Air Disaster 60 years ago on Tuesday and Zlatan Ibrahimovic did something that will live long in the memory for survivor Harry Gregg.
Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Ed Woodward, the Man United board, first team, families of the victims and a horde of supporters descended on Old Trafford to pay their respects.
In attendance was Gregg, one of the two survivors from the crash still alive along with Sir Bobby Charlton.
And Zlatan, on the morning of the service, demonstrated his class by taking time out to meet Gregg’s young grandson, who will never forget meeting the big man in person.

On days of such enormity and emotion, the small gestures of kindness can often feel incredibly significant. The sight of Gregg, who rarely enters the public eye, being caught by surprise when supporters reached out to him as he walked to his seat in the South Stand, for example, was a touching moment.
This would have been an overwhelming day for him. One can only imagine what emotions he would feel when thinking back to that day. But these small moments of kindness, of inherent human goodness, are examples of how much power this club has to make positive differences to the lives of so many people.
