Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been the reason for Chelsea’s indifferent form according to recent reports.
Since the start of the new year the Blues have played nine times and have only won twice with one of those results coming in the FA Cup.
The London club have certainly not been at their free flowing best of late and have been absolutely dominated in the league by Manchester City despite having just won the competition last year.
Their lack of fight for the title has been brushed under the carpet due to City’s own incredible form but at this rate, Antonio Conte’s men risk missing out on Champions League football too.
Mourinho though has been the source of their recent results according to some of those who are currently at Stamford Bridge.
According to Metro, The Mirror report that officials at the London club think that Jose and Antonio’s confrontations have had a negative influence on results.
It’s also been said that Chelsea’s owner wants the Italian to put an end to the arguments in order to get back to focusing on the football.
It could be that the recent altercation has distracted the club’s players but Manchester United have had a different reaction to the matter.
Since the turn of the year the Red Devils have played seven matches, winning six and losing one to another London club in Tottenham Hotspurs.
The contrast is quite telling and it’s unlikely Jose Mourinho will want to end the feud, particularly since it seems to be contributing to his former club’s poor form.
