No option to buy in deal for Chelsea loan star

Borussia Dortmund do not have an option to buy Michy Batshuayi at the end of his loan spell in Germany.

German outlet Bild report that the Bundesliga side does not have the option to make the striker’s move permanent, despite reports suggesting that there was an option included in the deal.

Initial reports suggested that there was no option to buy the Belgian, but contrasting reports have since caused some confusion.

The Belgian forward enjoyed a dramatic debut against Koln on Friday night, scoring twice in a 3-2 victory.

Batshuayi had another goal ruled out by VAR before playing a key role in Andre Schurrle’s late winner for Peter Stöger’s men.

Despite scoring twice in his last appearance for Chelsea against Newcastle in the FA Cup, the striker was sent out on loan for the second half the season.

Chelsea completed a deal to sign Olivier Giroud on transfer deadline day as a replacement for the Belgian international.
