Timo Werner has been one of the most clinical centre-forwards in the Bundesliga since joining Red Bull Leipzig from Stuttgart 18 months ago and has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid but now Chelsea are being mentioned as a potential suitor.
Calciomercato report that the 21-year-old Germany international, who is under contract with Leipzig until 2020, has turned down a new deal with last season’s Bundesliga runners-up amid interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Werner recently revealed there was great interest in his services, including Chelsea who are among several Premier League clubs mentioned.
There are many top clubs in Europe: Atletico, Real and Barça in Spain, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, United and City in England.
There has been talk that PSG could make a move to sign Alvaro Morata in the summer if Roma complete a deal for Edinson Cavani, meaning Chelsea would almost certainly need to add to their attacking ranks.
