Jamie Carragher was full of praise for Paul Pogba following the Frenchman’s midfield masterclass during Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Stoke City.
The 24-year-old dazzled from the start, bursting through the midfield to lay on an assist for Antonio Valencia after just nine minutes.
He provided a truly superb assist for Anthony Martial, catching out the Stoke defence with a reverse ball infield, before making an indelible stamp on the game with a classy performance in the middle.
And Carragher, speaking on Sky Sports after the game, noted that Pogba was nothing short of sensational against Stoke.
Carragher on Pogba: “Some of the things he can do with the ball, the power, he’s sensational.” #mufc

Mourinho’s recent decision to give Pogba a freer role going forward, along with the signing of Alexis Sanchez, could just be the catalyst for a change of mood at Old Trafford following a December month that all but ended Man United’s title hopes.
When Pogba is allowed to breathe and have time in the final third, everything seems to fall into place. The midfielder’s adeptness at skipping past challenges and breaking through lines in the middle of the pitch, combined with his sheer confidence, single handedly brings United on the front foot and allows others to have an effect.
Above anything, he is a delight to watch. A genuine entertainer. Anybody who doesn’t appreciate his presence on the pitch simply doesn’t appreciate football.
