Manchester United fans were happy to see star striker Romelu Lukaku back on the scoresheet vs West Brom in the Premier League.
The Belgian managed to score in back to back games after his winner vs Bournemouth in the last fixture and may finally start to return to his early season form.
Lukaku started his career at Old Trafford with a bang but performances started to dip once Paul Pogba suffered an injury.
When the Frenchman returned, Romelu’s displays started to get better but he was still accused of not scoring vs top opposition.
Whatever the criticism, United fans are just pleased to see their key man back on the scoresheet regularly again.
Lukaku is having such a bad season he has scored the same amount of goals as Lacazette, Sanchez and Ozil combined.#MUFC

Two headed goals from two beautiful crosses in two consecutive games. Makes you think if Lukaku actually had a consistently good crosser on the wing, he would be scoring tonnes more. #mufc

Lukaku’s build-up play – when not isolated – has generally been very good this season. He doesn’t get enough credit for that.

Zlatan had a 12% conversion rate last season. He missed chance after chance but fans worship him. Lukaku misses a couple and some turn on him. People only remember what they want to remember. He's doing fine. I'm happy with him overall.

I repeat myself every week. United MUST go out and buy FBs & a RW who cross the ball. Lukaku is deadly in the air. Need to play to his strengths more.

Lukaku has now scored or assisted 14 goals in the Premier League this season. Only Salah has been involved in more (16). #MUFC

Romelu Lukaku has also had to deal with the impending return to fitness of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is sure to give Jose Mourinho a selection headache.
Ibrahimovic has returned ahead of schedule from his horrific injury but it’s clear that Mourinho is only willing to spare him minutes towards the end of matches.
Should Zlatan return too quickly, at his age and due to the injury he sustained, he could seriously risk aggravating it.
However, once he’s gotten his legs back up to speed, Jose will surely utilise him more often and will possibly drop Lukaku when he’s out of form or fitness.
With Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial also being used in the striker position on occasion this season, the Belgian may face more competition than originally anticipated when he arrived at the club.
