Jose Mourinho has criticised his Manchester United side for giving away two sloppy goals against Manchester City.
David Silva, who was played onside by Ashley Young, tapped home from a corner after Romelu Lukaku took his eyes off the ball when contesting a header.
The Belgian then thumped a clearance from a free-kick straight into a horde of players and the ball fell perfectly for Nicolas Otamendi to fire home from six yards.
And Mourinho, speaking after the game, noted that it was “unbelievable” how Man United let the visitors score from two mistakes at set-pieces.
Mourinho: “They score two very bad goals, two goals which are unbelievable to concede. Two goals out of nothing out of rebounds.” #mufc

For all the talk of how United could hurt Man City aerially before the game, it turned out to be the Mourinho’s physically superior side undone from set-pieces at Old Trafford.
But the way in which they conceded only tells a fraction of the overall story. Pep Guardiola’s men were more imaginative, dynamic, fluid through the phases and looked like they could have hurt United in a variety of ways, whereas it felt as if the home side would only score by capitalising on a mistake.
The scary thing is that City, had they been at their best at Old Trafford, could have scored many more. How United conceded is somewhat beside the point.
