Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners over Spurs in the North London Derby thanks to goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez in a wonderful first-half performance.

What a huge win for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal.

Many Gunners fans entered this North London Derby with a little trepidation but that was quickly put to bed once the game started.

Arsenal controlled the first-half. The tempo was high as Arsene Wenger’s men really took the game to their North London neighbours.

There were numerous chances for the home team but it was a set piece which led to the opening goal. Mesut Ozil swung the ball in for Shkodran Mustafi to plant a wonderful header into the far top corner.

Alexandre Lacazette broke clear just a few minutes later and cut it back for Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean took a touch before lofting the ball into the roof of the net.

The Gunners just needed to see the game out after that and they certainly did with a commanding second-half.
