Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been discussing how different the pressure is at Crystal Palace compared to at Chelsea.
As quoted by the Croydon Advertiser, the young midfielder spoke of how he’s finding his first loan spell away from Stamford Bridge, and discussed the differences he’s noticed between the two clubs.
Mentally, it takes the pressure off at Palace. There, I feel like a first team player. I’ve got the opportunity to play every week and there’s guarantees in the team, but I think I have a better chance of playing.
So, being at Palace gives me the platform to learn and develop.
Loftus-Cheek made his England debut on Friday night in the 0-0 draw against Germany and certainly didn’t disappoint. He produced an impressive display and was one of the country’s standout players on the night.
However, on Tuesday evening, he was forced off after just 34 minutes with what looked to be a thigh injury against Brazil in a friendly.
Loftus-Cheek has shown signs of promise for Palace during his brief spell there so far and has been a bright spark in what has been a treacherous start to the campaign in South London.
Chelsea will hope that Loftus-Cheek can return to the club a much improved player.
