Chelsea forward Eden Hazard reveals that he takes it easy in training sessions to stay away from injury after receiving numerous kicks in the competitive matches, according to a report on Espn.
The Belgian’s trickery means he is on the receiving end of several kicks from opposing players and the Chelsea number 10 takes them in his stride.
However, Hazard reveals that he doesn’t give 100% in training sessions because he wants to recover from the bruises he gets.
Do I protect my legs in training? Yes, yes, yes! To be fair, in training I don’t give everything. When we have drills some people go crazy, but I don’t want to be kicked in training. I try to have a break.
We don’t have many breaks in the season, so I try in training to have more of a rest and then in games I give everything.
I get a lot of fouls, a lot on my ankle. When I’m on the pitch I do receive kicks, but that is part of football and I’m not complaining.
Hazard has been in blistering form for Antonio Conte’s side and has managed to get his name on the scoresheet six times, whilst also registering three assists in a blossoming partnership with Alvaro Morata.
