Chelsea target to cost £85m

According to the Daily Star, Real Madrid have set an asking price of £85m for Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea to snap up Gareth Bale from the club.

Bale has suffered many injuries in the past year and Isco and Marco Asensio are challenging the Welshmen’s starting place in the Real Madrid team and they are prepared to let him go, but only for the price mentioned.

Bale’s future has come under scrutiny in recent transfer windows and links back to the Premier League, where he spent six years with Tottenham Hotspur before joining Real Madrid for a then world record fee of £85.3m

The Welshman made 146 appearances in the English top flight, scoring 46 goals and getting 31 assists.

Chelsea will face competition from London rivals and Bale’s former side Tottenham and their old boss, Jose Mourinho’s, side in Manchester United for Bale’s services. United have been linked with Bale even before he joined Madrid.
