Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemed pleased with Marcus Rashford‘s performance and has hinted he may have a new role in the future.
The young Englishman initially burst onto the scene as a striker before eventually being moved onto the left-wing role.
In an effort to accommodate Edinson Cavani into the starting XI without sacrificing Anthony Martial, Solskjaer has opted to shift Rashford over to the right flank of late.
It’s a role he’s fulfilled on rare occasions but it seems to be the solution to having all of the United team’s best attackers in the same line-up.
It does mean Mason Greenwood misses out but fans, for the large part, are ok with that if it means his seniors are fit and firing.
Solskjær on Rashford playing on the flanks: "He's really taken to that role, really well, and he's certainly giving us threat down the side – penetration, crossing, finishes. I've been very pleased with Marcus on there." #mulive [mu]

Rashford can potentially become a right-winger if needed but his lack of positional discipline out there showed as the game wore on.
The sensational attacker made the same mistake as Juan Mata or Greenwood have when they play on that side of the field in the sense that he drifted in too often.
At the start of the clash vs PSG he held his width well before cutting in but later on Rashford would be seen in a similar position to Cavani.
Edinson Cavani has made quite an impact since his deadline day arrival at Old Trafford, but how much do you know about our other South American players, past and present? Take our quiz below to find out!
