Manchester United prospect Facundo Pellistri has been doing all the right things behind the scenes and seemingly on the scenes too.
The young Uruguayan was signed on deadline day in the past summer and fans were excited to see someone who has been dubbed as a wonder-kid playing for them.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cooled expectations by insisting Pellistri needs time to adapt to his new environment and is a player for the future.
True to his word, the former Penarol man has been plying his trade with the U23s and has gotten stronger with each match, so much so that there are rumours he will soon make his debut for United.
According to Transfermarkt, Pellistri has scored thrice and assisted once for the U23s so far in roughly six matches worth of minutes.
Since joining Manchester United's academy, Facundo Pellistri has completed 33/45 take-ons (73%) which is more than any other academy player in the same period. Hannibal Mejbri (25/40; 63%) ranks 2nd. pic.twitter.com/2sbuQ49Bco

That type of take-on completion percentage will encourage fans who are used to see the United teams of old play with wingers who aggressively dribble past their opponents.
In that sense, Pellistri fits the type of player Solskjaer wants more of at Old Trafford and it is why he spent roughly £8m on him.
The Red Devils’ need for a right-winger is obvious so the sooner he can step up to the first team the better.
