Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly targeted a head physiotherapist as his next backroom hire in a bid to turn the club’s fortunes around.
The legendary Norwegian has overseen yet another injury crisis to his squad that has seen his side make an underwhelming start to the season.
Though injuries aren’t the sole cause to the poor form, it certainly didn’t help with United in need of a stable squad given their lack of depth outside of the starting XI.
Some players at the club even seem to be consistently injured regardless of the intensity of matches or even their own fitness.
Hopefully this reshuffle will help ensure Solskjaer’s men are consistently available for selection.
According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils believe Celtic and Scotland physio Tim Williamson is the man to lead the backroom reshuffle as there have been concerns over the amount of non-contact injuries suffered by the squad.
Whatever has been going on behind the scenes it was at least clear that not enough was being done to ensure an injury free squad was available.
A little bad luck or random players getting injured would make sense but Manchester United consistently have almost all members of the squad picking up injuries at least once a season, year after year.
