Manchester United fans have responded with glee over Marcus Rashford‘s goalscoring performance for England.
The academy product was in fine form for his country and opened up the floodgates, scoring within seven minutes en-route to his side’s 6-0 win over Bulgaria.
Had he not scored so soon who knows how England would’ve responded after their loss against the Czech Republic.
Rashford featured on the left-wing and proved to many just how good he can be when put in a position that uses his best traits.
Hopefully Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will see and recognise just how much better the Englishman is from the left flank than he is as a striker.
Bulgaria abysmal but Rashford so sharp tonight. Southgate taking him out of the team has helped and reinforced Rashford’s focus; he’s also more natural from the left. In contrast, Solskjaer‘s been too supine in retaining Rashford during arguably his worst spell of form for #mufc.

Rashford with yet another great goal yesterday playing from the left as an inside forward.
But he has zero technical ability and we should sell him according to some FT accounts.
He needs a rest, a change of position which is possible only if Martial is back and a confident run

Rashford on the left cuttin in on his right. Thats his position for me. Still 21 & developing, i dont see him as a main source of goals but i do expect him to chip in. Ole needs to help him with players that can see his runs & play the passes to him.

Look what Rashford can do when he’s on the left, he’s wasted as a number 9 #mufc pic.twitter.com/3QfCZ5A6iJ

Of course it has to be kept in mind how well England played as it’s debatable over whether Manchester United would’ve done the same things.
Harry Maguire’s wayward ball was won back by Ross Barkley and he played in Rashford who had two or three players in the box to cross to if he wanted.
United wouldn’t have had a midfielder as high as the Chelsea man to win back the ball and they certainly haven’t had enough players in the box of late to create that space for the young forward to make the most of.
