Many Manchester United fans do not believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will last longer than a month following the club’s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United on Sunday.
Matty Longstaff’s winning goal on 70 minutes came up against a backdrop of pathetic, aimless football devoid of character and energy from the visitors, who are now without an away win in 11 outings across all competitions.
Indeed, with a record of just two wins in 13 Premier League games, many supporters believe that Solskjaer should be dismissed.

Perhaps they are right. Perhaps Ed Woodward really will pull the plug on another manager, one year on from sacking Jose Mourinho.
Personally, my hope is that the club sticks with the Norwegian until at least this time next year, regardless of how ugly it gets on the pitch. If there are no clear signs of moving in the right direction by then, United should think about other options. Sacking him before Christmas would set a dangerous precedent that could have long-term ramifications for the health of this club.
