Manchester United star David de Gea is reportedly still hoping to feature against Liverpool despite picking up a knock on international duty.
The world class Spaniard would certainly be missed but fans aren’t completely panicking as Sergio Romero has often proven to be a reliable backup.
Should De Gea be fit for the crucial clash, it’s unlikely Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won’t select him, especially given what’s on the line.
The legendary Norwegian may not lose his job but he’ll certainly be under even more pressure after United’s disappointing start to the campaign.
With so many key players missing, getting De Gea back would be a blessing though risking him so soon after injury may not be the wise thing to do.

Solskjaer has ruled out starting the former Atletico Madrid man but it could be just to throw Liverpool off the scent.
De Gea hasn’t been at his absolute best of late but he’s certainly still a top keeper and would start ahead of Romero normally.
He only gets criticised for not making his usual superhuman saves that fans have grown to expect.
Given Liverpool’s form and the Red Devils inconsistencies, Solskjaer will be expecting an onslaught on his defence so De Gea could make the difference.
