Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has chosen to take a rather inexperienced side to Serbia as they take on Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League.
The legendary Norwegian has often favoured, perhaps due to having a thin squad, of playing youth whenever possible and he’s taken five academy talents who could potentially feature.
United are in need of all three points as it will put them in a commanding position in their group, especially as they are taking on first placed Belgrade.
Both teams are equal on four points in two matches but in truth Solskjaer’s side should’ve easily steamrolled the group with no problems.
Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case so far but there’s hope a good run in the Europa League would transpire into the Premier League too.
The Red Devils’ travelling squad is as follows: Romero, Grant, Kovar; Jones, Laird, Lindelof, Maguire, Rojo, Wan-Bissaka, Williams; Fred, Garner, James, Lingard, McTominay, Mata, Andreas; Greenwood, Martial, Rashford.
The five academy talents are Matej Kovar, who is a goalkeeper, Ethan Laird, a defender, Brandon Williams, James Garner and Mason Greenwood.
Of course fans are familiar with the majority of these players and of course Marcus Rashford, Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard and Scott McTominay are also academy graduates but they’re all considered regular first-team players by now.
