Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that both Mason Greenwood and Axel Tuanzebe will start for Manchester United against Astana on Thursday.
Greenwood scored 30 goals across four different age groups last season and dazzled supporters during the club’s pre-season tour.
Tuanzebe, on the other hand, has played senior football for almost three years, making his first senior start for Man United in 2017 and spending last year on loan at Aston Villa.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, Solskjaer confirmed that the pair would get chances to impress from the first whistle.

The Norwegian also stated that Fred and Sergio Romero would start, while Diogo Dalot and Jesse Lingard had chances of returning.
More importantly, though, this is a huge opportunity for Greenwood, who could, much like his teammate Marcus Rashford, use the lesser opponents in this competition to lay down a marker to the rest of the world – to show people why Solskjaer branded him today as “one of the best finishers that I’ve seen”.
