Manchester United star Victor Lindelof is reportedly set to be rewarded with a contract extension after last season’s fine form.
The ball-playing Swede had endured a tough first campaign at Old Trafford but his second saw him finally adapt well.
Lindelof’s good form couldn’t stop United conceding so much last season but it did mean he quickly became their first choice centre-back.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opted to invest heavily in Harry Maguire and it seems his plans for the future is partner them both up.
Since they’re of similar ages, a partnership between the two likely means the Red Devils defence is sorted for the next seven to eight years.

Although Lindelof has played well, it could be argued that he shouldn’t be handed a new contract just yet.
Manchester United have had a habit previously of handing players new contracts the moment they show some good form.
However, once they sign the contract they tend to dip once again and so they should avoid offering Lindelof a new deal until he’s shown some consistency in his play.
After all, it’s believed he still has two years left on his current contract with an option for a third so holding off for a year won’t do any harm to either party.
