Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided a squad injury update ahead of the fixture against Crystal Place with Diogo Dalot seemingly the only one out.
The young Portuguese will likely struggle to get much minutes this season given the brilliant signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka but picking up a knock is likely to hurt his chances even further.
The former Crystal Palace star has been absolutely fantastic so far for United and has shown just how much better he is than his positional competitors.
Dalot will probably only get match-time during the Carabao Cup and Europa League so it’s important he returns fully fit before either competition.
Despite the signing of Wan-Bissaka, fans still have high hopes for the former Porto man to develop into a top full-back and so they’ll be keen for him to push on and recover well.
According to the club’s official website, Solskjaer said: “Diogo is injured, he’ll be out for a little while, hopefully he’ll be back for [the games] after the international break.
“He’s had that problem for a couple of weeks. But that’s it. [The squad is] more or less the same.”
Ashley Young is still in reserve if needed but it’s likely fans won’t want him to feature at all this season if possible.
On the club’s pre-season tour, the experienced Englishman was actually booed by some supporters which was certainly experienced.
Young is actually the club’s official captain but he hasn’t featured so far and so David de Gea has taken over in his absence.
