Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided a transfer update in regards to Alexis Sanchez’s potential departure as he explains talks are still ongoing.
The experienced Chilean has been linked with a move to Inter Milan but negotiations have gone on longer than expected with both clubs failing to see eye to eye.
Reports emerged claiming United wanted the Italian giants to pay more of Sanchez’s wages than they were currently offering and that appears to be the stumbling block in the talks.
The former Arsenal star’s wages were always going to prove to be a problem for when the club wanted to offload him and this is happening despite their willingness to pay a portion of his salary.
Solskjaer had previously publicly backed Sanchez to succeed at Old Trafford but it appears the player would rather cut his losses and move elsewhere.
Solskjær on Alexis Sanchez: "There are still talks with some clubs but he played in that game and played well, he’s working hard and let’s see in September what’s going to happen." #mulive

It’s interesting to note that Solskjaer is referring to multiple clubs which may also explain why it’s taking a while to move Sanchez on.
On the other hand the legendary Norwegian may be trying to scare Inter into concluding negotiations by claiming other clubs are in for the versatile attacker.
Either way, Solskjaer himself and perhaps the fans will be hoping Sanchez’s future can be cleared up soon so the club can focus on more important matters.
