Reports in France suggest that Chelsea defender David Luiz has stopped training at the club in order to force through a move to Arsenal (via GFFN).
There are less than 24 hours remaining in the transfer window and Arsenal are still on the lookout for a new centre-back.
The Gunners have been without a consistent, reliable, and domineering central defender for some time so this rumour may not fill everyone with confidence.
Reports in France suggest that Chelsea centre-back David Luiz is seeking a move to Arsenal.
According to l’Equipe, the 32-year-old has stopped training with the Blues in an effort to force through a move across London.
The same publication claims that Arsenal have made a formal approach to sign the player but reports in England suggest otherwise.
David Ornstein has echoed these reports, claiming that he is an option for Arsenal.
David Luiz is among options Arsenal working on for centre-back – delicate but not for 1st time (see 31/01/18) #AFC keen. Kieran Tierney remains a target, Eddie Nketiah still deciding but likely Leeds, Alex Iwobi will happen IF Everton make suitable offer #EFC #LUFC #CFC #CelticFC

In many ways, it’s a transfer which makes a lot of sense for Arsenal. David Luiz has links with much of the club’s hierarchy. He worked with Emery at Paris Saint-Germain and with Edu at the Brazil national team. He is also being represented by the infamous football agent Kia Joorabchian, a man who is said to have increasing influence at Arsenal.
