Inter Milan have produced a fresh offer for Romelu Lukaku and are confident that Manchester United will accept the offer, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Serie A side fell behind in the race for Lukaku after Juventus and Man United reached an agreement over a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala.
However, this proposed move fell through, giving Inter another chance to launch a fresh approach for Lukaku, who is desperate to leave Old Trafford.
Backing up reports from elsewhere, Romano has confirmed that Inter are now ‘very confident’ about getting the deal done.
Inter Milan have just made a new bid to Man United per Romelu Lukaku and are ‘very confident’. The Belgian striker is pushing too to join Inter. They’re waiting for the Man United answer soon. #MUFC #transfers #Inter

The Nerazzurri initially put forward an offer of £54m for Lukaku, but this was flatly rejected by United, who are determined to make a profit on the £75m laid out for the Belgian two years ago.
Lukaku has caused a stir at United by refusing to return to training for the last two days as he waits to secure a move away. He was given permission to train with Anderlecht’s reserves on United’s day off on Monday but has failed to report back to Carrington. The 25-year-old is expected to be hit with a heavy fine once he gets back to Manchester.
