Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has explained one of the main reasons he decided to extend his stay, claiming the failures motivated him to put things right.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, Old Trafford has seen far too little highlights with manager after manager struggling to succeed.
David Moyes, Louis van Goal and Jose Mourinho have all come and gone with little to show for in terms of the club being better off than when they arrived.
Rashford’s career began under the Dutchman and has seen plenty of peaks and valleys though fans are keen to see more peaks in the future.
Hopefully under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Englishman can develop even further and prove he’s worthy of being United’s undisputed first-choice striker.
Rashford: “It hurts every day to see where we are now, to where we’ve been in the past. I use that pain as motivation. It makes me more determined to put the club back where they belong.” #mufc [Times]

Marcus may face competition for his spot in the form of Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial despite being Solskjaer’s favourite.
However, there’s been plenty of rumours the Belgian is on his way to Inter Milan and the Frenchman may only be considered for the left-wing spot.
There are fans who feel regardless of whether or not Lukaku stays or goes, the Red Devils still need a proven striker to take the club to the next level.
