Manchester United’s meeting with Inter Milan over Romelu Lukaku’s transfer is reportedly confirmed as the two clubs move closer to making the move a reality.
The Belgian striker has been heavily linked with the Serie A giants as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer attempts to navigate his first summer transfer window at the club successfully.
United have signed two players so far in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James but have not sold anyone as of yet with Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia departing at the expiration of their contracts.
Lukaku would be the first major star to depart in what would be surprising to fans who believe lesser capable players should be moved on first.
There also remains the issue of replacing the clinical forward and Solskjaer’s options in the market are pretty limited.

Initial reports have insisted the Red Devils will only consider selling Romelu for a straight cash deal which should recoup the £75m fee they spent on him.
Inter’s inability to break their bank for the former Everton man leaves Ole with a huge decision to make as a loan deal does not necessarily grant him the cash needed for a replacement.
It will be interesting to see whether Manchester United’s previous naiveness in the transfer market will be taken advantage of once more or whether the Norwegian has made a change for the better.
