Manchester United star Romelu Lukaku reportedly wants to leave the club after feeling unwanted as Inter Milan continue to attempt to sign him.
The Serie A giants have been chasing his signature all summer but it’s clear the finances involved have proven too much for them.
It’s understood United are hoping to recoup the £75m fee they spent on the Belgian and that appears to be out of Inter’s budget.
Lukaku hasn’t publicly stated a desire to leave as of yet but he has previously expressed an eagerness to play in Italy before his career is over.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be not actively looking to sell the powerful forward but if the club get their evaluation met then a move may happen.
According to The Telegraph, Antonio Conte has made Romelu feel wanted, with Solskjaer’s attempts to charm him into staying with the Red Devils coming a little too late.
The former Everton man also felt the former Molde boss had cast him aside for Marcus and that there was little effort made to deny reports of him leaving so a move to Inter suits him as he enters his peak years.
There have been question marks over who would replace Lukaku as there doesn’t seem to be a top striker available on the market and Manchester United don’t really have options amongst their current squad.
