Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of signing Newcastle United star Sean Longstaff as the summer transfer window continues to heat up.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already secured two young stars in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James but it appears he’s not quite done just yet.
The Norwegian had previously spoken of a transfer policy that involved signing emerging, British talent and it seems he’s set to continue that trend.
Some fans believe Solskjaer should go for a mix of prospective talents and for proven talent so time will tell whether he’s right for chasing the likes of Longstaff.
The Magpies were previously believed to be unwilling to sell the Englishman unless a bid over £50m was made but that no longer appears to be the case.
According to The Guardian, Newcastle are set to lose Sean to the Red Devils in what will be a boost to Ole’s summer transfer window.
It could be argued that despite the midfielder’s arrival, the Norwegian’s squad is still in need for an additional member in the all important engine room.
Both Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini have departed over the past seven months and Manchester United needed investment in that position before that even happened.
