Frank Lampard is widely expected to land the Chelsea job later this week after it was confirmed he would be allowed to discuss the role with the Blues.
The Chelsea legend will now want to bring a number of his Derby coaching staff with him and according to Goal, it could be as many as eight.
Lampard’s assistant at Derby, Jody Morris, is thought to be one of the first names that will join the manager back at Chelsea.
Morris is familiar with Chelsea and has managed the youth teams in the past so could prove to be an invaluable member of the backroom staff.
Another name that could follow the Derby manager is Chris Jones, who will know a number of the first team players having worked under former head coach Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea waited to contact Derby for permission to speak to Lampard and will pay a compensation fee of around £4 million to land their former midfielder.
Former goalkeeper Petr Cech has already returned to Stamford Bridge in an advisory role behind the scenes, with a summer of change at Chelsea well under way.
Michael Ballack, Joe Edwards and Derby’s head of performance analysis Steve Rand are names that have also been mentioned as possible candidates to join Lampard at Stamford Bridge.
