Manchester United star Antonio Valencia has sent fans a departing message with the clash against Cardiff City set to be his last match in the famous red shirt.
The Ecuadorian is one of the few remaining players from the Sir Alex Ferguson era and will deservedly get a nice sendoff.
Valencia has struggled with fitness issues all season and could potentially miss out on the starting XI but it’s still expected he’ll play some part in the final match of the campaign.
The former Wigan man has admitted he hopes of continuing his footballing career elsewhere and reports have previously claimed of Inter Milan’s interest.
Antonio has proven himself to be a hardworking, versatile player, willing to do whatever is needed for the greater good of the team.
Valencia: ”I had two moments that stand out. The game versus Bayern Munich in the Champions League (in 2010) and in the 20th minute we were 2-0. It was the most memorable atmosphere I experienced as a player. It was spine-tingling and incredible.” #mufc [PA]

Valencia: “My first piece of silverware with United, Carling Cup 2010, as I had reached the pinnacle of my dreams as a young kid in Ecuador. For a whole month my family and friends kept calling me elated with emotion as they had seen my childhood dreams come true." #mufc [PA] pic.twitter.com/RMrKrOzzFi

Given the experiences Valencia has had, it’s a little surprising he’s pointed out those two moments.
As good as the clash against Bayern Munich was, the full-back has won several titles and one would assume those are more memorable.
His first trophy with the Red Devils is however a fair enough standout moment which he can look back on proudly.
Valencia will be parting ways with the club at the right time given his injury issues, age and decline in ability.
