Arsenal will be hoping that they can take that Europa League winning feeling back into their flailing Premier League top four hopes, on the back of three straight league defeats. Brighton who are now safe from relegation will come to the Emirates without much form of their own and little to play for – so this should be a routine three points (the emphasis on should be).

Team News – Player Ratings – Match Highlights
Match: Arsenal v Brighton
Stadium: Emirates Stadium, London
Kick-Off (UK Time): 16:30 05/05/2019

Laurent Koscielny’s precautionary substitution against Valencia on Thursday isn’t set to keep him out of the game against Brighton today – Unai Emery should have a pretty full strength squad to select from, of course without the injured Aaron Ramsey.
Mesut Ozil recently spoke to DAZN DACH via Goal admitting that he’s been at a loss as to why the sudden drop in form has seen Arsenal’s hopes of a top four spot slip out of their hands, with just two Premier League games to go;
“We can’t really explain what’s happened.”
“We’ve done all we can to get into the Champions League places but in the last three games it hasn’t worked out for us.”
“We’ve lost three in a row, that can happen in football. What’s most important is we stick together, we are positive and we believe in ourselves.”
“We’re a good team, we have got some really good individuals as well and we want to show that against Brighton.”
“If we play the way the coach wants us to I’m sure we can get the six points from the two games.”
Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea are in-action against Watford in the early kick-off on Sunday, while Manchester United have two final winnable games against already relegated Huddersfield and Cardiff. North London rivals Spurs only need to win against Everton at home on the final day to confirm a top four spot.
As such, winning both final league games starting today against Brighton is imperative, slip ups at this stage all-but end a top four route back to the Champions League.
