Ole Gunnar Solskjaer once again sounded pessimistic about Ander Herrera‘s chances of agreeing a new contract at Manchester United during Friday’s press conference.
The Spaniard, whose current deal expires next month, has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain after the Ligue 1 champions offered improved terms.
Reliable Spanish media outlet AS confirmed earlier this week that Herrera had agreed a four-year deal with PSG, with the move to be announced shortly.
Solskjaer, when asked about Herrera, claimed the midfielder would make an announcement on his future – probably over the next few days.

Losing Herrera leaves a serious black hole at United.
This is a squad which, in some areas, contains players not good enough for this level and, in other areas, players who are good enough but are either leaving or whose heads are being turned.
There is a rebuild which must happen in a number of positions – most notably the full-back and right-wing role – and its efficacy is seriously undermined by United letting a player like Herrera leave while others, such as Ashley Young and Phil Jones, continue to occupy the ranks. It sets a bad precedent and, most pertinently, leaves them with another player to sign this summer.
