Manchester United will reportedly stall on a move for Tanguy Ndombele despite question marks over Paul Pogba’s future and Ander Herrera confirming he will leave for free.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was said to be in the search for a midfielder this summer and it was believed the Lyon man was one of the top targets.
Pogba is believed to be keen on a move to Real Madrid while Barcelona are gearing up to swoop in for him ahead of their rivals.
United are risking losing their star player without replacing him and appear to be ignoring the need for bringing someone in for Herrera either way.
Ndombele undoubtedly has suitors lining up for him after an impressive season in France so Solskjaer is better off acting fast.
Tanguy Ndombele:
– Manchester United: Not making a move until Paul Pogba's future is clearer
– PSG: Getting close to a provisional contract agreement, but questions over whether they can afford with FFP https://t.co/DjKckZTOdv— Get French Football News (@GFFN) May 18, 2019
The truth is Juventus and Tottenham have more to offer Tanguy than the Red Devils so the only thing Ole has going for him is to conclude the deal quickly.
Spurs offer Champions League football as well as being potential title contenders if they get their investments right this summer.
Juventus can pretty much guarantee the Serie A title and if the right manager is brought in, they could potentially win the Champions League as well.
