According to The Times, Antonio Conte has won his legal battle with Chelsea Football Club.
Chelsea have been ordered to pay their former boss £9m in compensation after his sacking last July.
The 49-year-old has been out of the dugout since his acrimonious departure from Stamford Bridge, although it is understood that he is eager to return to football next season.
Conte became head coach of Chelsea in April 2016, taking them to the Premier League title in his first season in charge. He also won the FA Cup in his second season but the Blues finished fifth in the league, missing out on qualification for the Champions League.
The Italian is also a former professional footballer himself, being an instrumental part of the Juventus side that won the Champions League and five Serie A titles.
Conte had been embroiled in a long-running feud with his former employers, seeking the full payment of the last remaining year of his contract.
The former Blues boss wanted greater control over club signings and constantly antagonised the board. Conte’s complaints over squad depth, plus his fractured relationship with ex-striker Diego Costa increased tensions with the club and key players like Willian and David Luiz.
Failure to qualify for the Champions League proved to be the final straw and Conte was sacked in July 2018. He was replaced by fellow Italian Maurizio Sarri who has also endured a turbulent time at the London club.
Conte has been linked with the new vacancy at his old club Juventus but Inter Milan are also reportedly poised to make their move for the fiery Italian.
