Chelsea are reportedly set to make their next move to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi at the club by offering want-away forward Eden Hazard’s no. 10 shirt next season.
Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are just a few suitors, with the latter almost signing him in January after he handed in a transfer request at Stamford Bridge.
According to the Daily Mail, Hudson-Odoi will be offered the no. 10 shirt vacated by Eden Hazard after he inevitably joins Real Madrid, with fresh contract talks expected to take place later this month.
The 18-year-old, currently sidelined with a ruptured Achilles, saw more game time after the January transfer window and may be tempted to stay at Chelsea if he’s given assurances that the club will build around him for the future.
Bayern offered £35million for his services at the start of the year and offered the departing Arjen Robben’s no. 10 shirt as a pull factor, as well as assurances that he’d be utilised as a key creative spark both centrally and out wide.
It would be a huge coup for the Blues if they can tie him down to a long-term deal in England, but if not they’ll want to cash in on him with just one year left of his current stay.
