RB Leipzig are on the lookout for replacements for Timo Werner, according to The Mirror, and Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham has been identified as a target.
The striker has spent the season on loan in the Championship with Aston Villa and has been influential for Dean Smith’s side.
From 37 appearances in the Championship, he has found the back of the net on 25 occasions. He helped his team reach the play-off final on Tuesday evening as he netted the decisive penalty in a shootout victory over West Brom.
Abraham is expected to return to Stamford Bridge at the expiration of his loan deal this summer, but clubs from across Europe appear to be gathering.
It had been previously reported that Bundesliga outfit Leipzig were prepared to spend £30 million on landing the front-man, and The Mirror’s claims indicate that their interest remains strong.
An intriguing summer awaits Abraham, but for now, he will be focused on the task at hand as Villa target a return to the Premier League.
