We’re here again, people. Barcelona are reportedly set to restart their push to sign Willian, according to Jason Burt of The Telegraph.
The Catalan outfit made a strong run to sign the Brazilian forward last summer, but Chelsea resisted numerous offers to hang onto their man for the 2018-19 campaign.
With just one year remaining on his Stamford Bridge deal, the Blues may now however decide to wave goodbye to the 30-year-old and leave spots in the starting lineup free for that infamous sprawling youth setup.
The West Londoners may not pocket as much cash as they will have done a year ago, but the La Liga leaders are sure to stump up a decent amount of money all the same to add the veteran forward to their ranks.
Willian has made an unbelievable 47 appearances in all competitions so far this season, and his absence will therefore be clear to see in Maurizio Sarri’s side.
