Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expecting a stern test from Chelsea when they travel to Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds are currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table and will be desperate to extend their lead over Manchester City as they go in search of a win against the Blues.
Klopp sat down with the media on Friday to preview his side’s crunch clash with Maurizio Sarri’s men and was quick to highlight the threat of Sunday’s opponents.
As quoted by The Liverpool Echo, the German stated that Chelsea are in a ‘very good shape’ and said:
Chelsea are in a really good moment. We have had two opportunities to watch them this week and they could rest a lot of players yet still won last night.
They’re in a good position. Chelsea and [Eden] Hazard are in very good shape and it is not an easy one but we are in very good shape and it’s Anfield.
We have to use the power of Anfield again, I’m so happy with our supporters how they’ve dealt with everything and how we’ve grown together. It’s now the moment to show it. We need all our resources to win it.
The Blues have won their last four outings in all competitions and will be full of confidence as they head into the fixture on the back of a 1-0 win away from home against Slavia Prague in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.
Sarri’s men will be determined to derail Liverpool’s title hopes and, in the process, further strengthen their hopes of a top-four finish.
