Chelsea face competition from Ligue 1 side Marseille in their pursuit of LOSC Lille sporting director Luis Campos.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the French outfit have entered the running as the race to land the Portuguese transfer guru heats up ahead of the summer.
Campos has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. It was recently reported that the Blues had held talks over a possible swoop for the ex-Real Madrid scout, with a £2.6 million deal on the table.
However, they are not alone in their admiration of the director, with Marseille the latest to be linked, and Roma also still in contention.
Calciomercato’s report indicates that the Serie A giants have identified Campos as their number one target to replace Monchi in the role following his move from Stadio Olimpico back to Sevilla.
Chelsea appear keen on making changes to their infrastructure, and the former AS Monaco chief is evidently high up on their list of targets.
