AC Milan have decided to sign midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on a permanent deal at the end of the season, Calcio Mercato report via Tuttosport.
The midfielder has impressed in Milan after a slow start at the San Siro, and Rossoneri boss Genaro Gattuso has reportedly decided to activate the optional future fee of £35million included in the midfielder’s loan deal.
Bakayoko struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge following his move from Monaco, but the Frenchman has flourished in recent weeks for Milan, who are also willing to let Franck Kessie move on this summer.
The Frenchman has featured 31 times in all competitions for Milan this season, and the midfielder scored his first goal for the Rossoneri during their derby defeat to rivals Inter Milan.
Chelsea may look to include Kessie in the deal with Milan for Bakayoko, though their impeding transfer ban may hinder any potential pursuit for the midfielder.
