Chelsea loanee Mateo Kovacic’s representatives have reportedly been in contact with both Inter Milan and Bayern Munich ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Blues signed the midfielder from Real Madrid temporarily in the summer after he was deemed surplus to the club’s requirements.
Kovacic is set to return to the Bernabeu Stadium at the end of the season, but according to a report from FC Inter News, he is not a part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the club.
The 24-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge is not yet certain, with a transfer ban likely to prevent Chelsea from completing the permanent signing of their on-loan midfielder this summer.
According to the Italian report, this has prompted Kovacic’s entourage to begin seeking out potential destinations for their client ahead of next season.
Inter Milan could re-sign the player, it seems, but a move to the Bundesliga for the first time may be of interest to the Blues star, with Bayern Munich a team who have been contacted.
