Real Madrid have made their first move to sign Eden Hazard this summer, according to the Telegraph.
This comes after the surprise news that Zinedine Zidane has returned to Madrid for a second stint as manager.
Zidane is famously Hazard’s hero, and for a while it looked as though the French legend may replace Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge, persuading the Blues’ star to stay in the process.
The opposite appears to be happening, however, with the lure of playing under Zidane at Madrid possibly too hard to turn down for Hazard.
The report claims that although strong interest had been shown regardless, “the decision to replace Santiago Solari with the Frenchman will only increase the Chelsea forward’s desire to go.”
Madrid have made a proposal to the Blues, with Hazard rated at £100million by the club.
The Belgian superstar has remained loyal to Chelsea on a number of occasions down the years, but this summer could finally be the time he bids farewell.
