Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will inevitably land the permanent managerial role.
The Norwegian arrived in December as caretaker manager following Jose Mourinho’s struggles as manager in his third season in charge.
Solskjaer’s reign has seen him turn around United’s fortunes as they suddenly find themselves in the fight for the top four.
Neville is clearly a huge fan of the work the former Molde man has done and that’s no surprise given how little room their is to criticise.
The Red Devils have been unbeaten in the league since Ole’s appointment and have only suffered a loss once in all competitions to French giants PSG.
G Neville: “There would be mutiny if they give it (the United job) to someone else. It’s an inevitably they give him (Ole) the job.” #mufc [Sky]

It is difficult to imagine anyone else coming in due to Solskjaer’s success though there are some top names being mentioned.
Massimo Allegri and Zinedine Zidane are not managers you easily dismiss with Mauricio Pochettino also reportedly the favourite for the job.
The truth is Ole did fair better than many expected him to but it is a welcome headache for the Manchester United board.
Given how the players have publicly supported their manager for the permanent role, it should make matters easier.
Should United secure a spot in the top four there’s no real reason to deny him the job.
