Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly edging closer to being named the permanent manager after being seen with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
The Norwegian took over from Jose Mourinho as caretaker manager but his superb form has seen him slowly become one of the favourites for the role.
Others include Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane and Massimo Allegri though the Tottenham manager is the outstanding candidate.
The United board have seemingly chosen to taken their time in coming up with their decision on who should manage their club from this summer onwards.
Solskjaer though has become an obvious choice for some sections of supporters who feel he’s done enough to win the position.
According to Independent, the Sunday World report that Ole had a three hour dinner with Ed after the anniversary of the Munich air crash with the latter said to be impressed with the former’s work.
Pochettino however is some fans’ option as they feel his impressive work with both Southampton and Tottenham is plenty of evidence of what he can do for Manchester United too.
Many praise the Argentine’s attacking style and his tendency to promote youngsters to the first team.
Critics though point to his lack of major honours which could see other candidates leapfrog him.
