Solskjaer believes this Man United star is 'in the form of his life'

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in awe of Marcus Rashford‘s talent following his match-winning performance vs Brighton.

Paul Pogba opened the scoring through a penalty he won but it was the youngster who grabbed the ‘insurance’ goal.

It turned out to be a crucial goal as Brighton scored towards the end of the match but thankfully United’s defence held firm.

Rashford’s form has improved tenfold under Solskjaer’s management as he’s benefitted from the faith put in him as well as the opportunity given to him to lead the line.

The academy product has enjoyed playing as a striker so much so that he’s managed to keep Romelu Lukaku glued to the bench so far.

According to Independent, Ole said: “No-one beats him on work-rate, no-one beats him on attitude and at the moment he’s very confident in front of goal. He finishes, he tries to shoot, he doesn’t think twice about it.

“He made a chance for Jesse (Lingard) and I cannot believe how Jesse didn’t score on that chance at the back post. So at the moment I think he’s playing the best football in his career.”

Marcus has the stats to back that opinion up as his goal against Brighton meant it was his best tally in the Premier League in his career so far.

The Englishman has netted eight goals in the league and if his form continues he should hit double digits before the season is over.

Considering how he wan’t playing too frequently or even too well under Jose Mourinho’s management that’s a rather impressive figure.

Fans are hoping Rashford can continue his develop and take his game to the next level to consolidate himself amongst the league’s best.
