Maurizio Sarri confirmed before Chelsea’s fixture against Tottenham Hotspur that Andreas Christensen is nursing a hamstring problem, according to the Evening Standard’s Simon Johnson.

The Danish international was excluded from the manager’s matchday squad at Stamford Bridge, raising questions regarding his condition.
However, the Italian has since revealed that the central defender is working his way back from a hamstring issue which rendered him unavailable for the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final fixture.
Christensen has struggled to work his way into Sarri’s plans following the former Napoli boss’ appointment at the London club.
David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger have been preferred central defensive duo throughout the season, and they both started in the Blues’ fixture against Tottenham.
Sarri will, however, be hoping that the extent of Christensen’s injury is not severe as he bids to help Chelsea enjoy a strong remainder of the campaign.
