Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Tahith Chong for his debut performance vs Reading in the FA Cup.
The Norwegian watched on as his side hammered the Championship side 2-0 and was impressed by the youngster’s display.
Chong was a part of the pre-season squad that travelled to the United States of America in the summer and was effective then too.
Against Reading however, it was his official debut and was one of the brightest spots in an otherwise uneventful game.
Solskjaer has insisted multiple times that some of the club’s younger stars are knocking on the first-team door and he’s obviously put his money where his mouth is.
Ole: “He had two or three really good moments, as you do when you're young. He got the crowd going and has shown one or two glimpses of what he can do. It's not like it was 4-0, so he did well defensively as well and I think he'll remember this for a long, long time." #mufc [MEN] pic.twitter.com/FMQt6cb1aX

Hopefully Tahith can go from strength to strength since United have had a bit of an issue on the right flank so far this season.
Most of their attacks have been squeezed in down the left flank since Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial all cause plenty of damage.
On the other side however it’s a different story with Antonio Valencia struggling to impress while Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata prove uncomfortable out wide.
In fact both playmakers often end up on the left flank to join in on the fun so a natural right-winger will be welcome if Chong can make it his own.
