Speaking with BT Sport former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has admitted he hopes to one day manage the club.
The Englishman was part of the pundit team who covered Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first match on Saturday as they convincingly beat Cardiff City 5-1.
Rooney had plenty of praise for the Norwegian but has revealed his own intentions of taking charge of United having previously stating his desire to become a manager in the future.
Solskjaer has taken over from Jose Mourinho as caretaker manager after the Portuguese was sacked in the wake of the loss to Liverpool.
The club legend has a handful of months to convince the board to make his role a permanent one and Wayne has wished him plenty of luck.
Rooney: “I’m currently doing my coaching badges. If i’d like to manage United? Of course, one day that would be the absolute dream. It’s a massive club.” #mufc [BT]
