Real Madrid are set to offer both Mateo Kovacic and Isco on permanent deals to Chelsea in return for acquiring the signature of Eden Hazard, talkSPORT reports.
Hazard has long been a prime target for the La Liga giants and it is believed they are keen to make a serious attempt to sign the forward in January.
Croatian midfielder Kovacic is already on a season-long loan at the Blues from Real after being a part of the deal that saw goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois join the Spanish side.
Kovacic has been in fine form for the London outfit this season and earlier this month admitted that he could ‘imagine’ himself staying at the club beyond the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Spanish forward Isco has struggled for game time at Los Blancos since the appointment of Santiago Solari and Chelsea have been monitoring his situation.
Hazard has been in talks with Chelsea to extend his current contract, which runs out and the end of next season, though at the beginning of the month he revealed that talks had been postponed for the meantime.
The Belgian said earlier this month:
There was a bit of talk [about a new contract at Stamford Bridge] but then it stopped, now we’re waiting.
The new coach [Sarri] thinks football like me, so we’ll see. The family is in London, I’m also going to be 28…
I do not want to have any regrets at the end of my career. It’s a decision I’m going to make, I do not know when, but I’ll take it.
Me, you know me, I’ve always loved Real, even before [Zinedine] Zidane – we’ll see what happens.
As I said, I’m already finishing this year with Chelsea. I still have a year of contract after this year, we’ll see.
